Army
Hello everyone, first of all I want to thank our friend JEB65 who very kindly warned me and passed the information of an English sleeveless vest in size XL, punctually a Size 4 that I had wanted to incorporate into my collection a long time ago and thanks to him now I have it. I think that his really would be to separate each model from those shown here since not all of them really belong inside the same garment.
On the other hand note that JEB65 also made me notice the existence of vests of this type specially manufactured for the RAF.
If we want to start from the beginning we can change the name to this Thread, which I commit myself and in other new ones I can analyze and show that of the Parka ECW and those of the RAF.
Well, I must say that the first "Mao" type vest that I was able to get was in Barcelona and actually with a label and NATO type, which gave me a chance to think that this type of pieces have continued to be produced for many more years. conflict. Over time I was able to put together some of these that I point out were specially made for the Combat Smock Pattern 68 that as we know have three buttons, without any velcro and naturally thanks to these pockets we could see them without the Smock and above the woolen sweater.
According to my observations, every early English piece of this type had a numerical size label and its reinforcements on the edges were of an almost brown color very different from the green of the vest. Well to my surprise I could see that there are vests with an old label with edges in brown or green, such is the case of the liner that came to JEB65.
In case some partner is interested in the measurements of them I can tell you that naturally the bigger the number is the liner but it will always be much longer than wide. They are not generous in the chest unlike the sizes of the M65 vest of the U.S. Army
