| Hola, Al parecer, las unidades militares del ejército argentino tenían un sistema de reacondicionamiento ad hoc para rehacer sus cascos después de cada cambio de conscripto. Algunas unidades tuvieron la suerte de tener acceso a materiales especialmente diseñados para reajustar sus cascos, pero algunas tuvieron que 'arreglárselas y repararlas'. El 5º Regimiento de Infantería realizó una reparación particularmente distintiva antes del conflicto de las Malvinas en 1982, utilizando cinta de nailon de colores que se utilizó para el mecanismo de cuerda mecánica de las persianas enrollables. Todos los revestimientos que he visto con esta reparación de nailon son todos revestimientos de la era de Vietnam de EE. UU. A particularly distinctive repair was done by the 5th Infantry Regiment prior to the Falklands conflict in 1982, using coloured nylon webbing tape that was used for the mechanical winding mechanism for roller blinds. Every liner I have seen with this nylon repair are all US Vietnam era liners. What is also apparent is that they made use of anything they could to personalise their helmets. Even the chinstraps are non standard with leather straps, green vinyl, made from kit bags and some with the red, white, blue nylon.
