| Hola, Les presento un par de cascos con lo que siempre he descrito como la cubierta con patrón de "hojas" fotografiada extensamente por el personal de la fuerza terrestre de la FAA en el aeropuerto de Stanley en abril de 1982. Estos cascos arrojan un par de preguntas. Si son cascos FAA, ¿por qué todos los que he visto con esta funda son conchas y forros de la era de Vietnam de los US, en segundo lugar, por qué todos tienen el mismo tono de banda para el sudor de cuero verde que generalmente se asocia con el EA? Además, ambos han sufrido una oxidación excesiva y habiendo visto a Mati y a otros coleccionistas se encuentran en el mismo estado. Deben haber sido sumergidos en agua de mar antes de la recuperación o los cascos estaban en malas condiciones cuando se entregaron para el servicio en las Malvinas. Saludos, Bob Hello, I present a pair of helmets with what I have always describes as the 'leaf' pattern cover extensively photographed being worn by FAA ground force personnel at Stanley airport in April 1982. These helmets throw up a couple of questions. If they are FAA helmets why do all of the ones I have seen with this cover are US Vietnam era shells and liners and secondly why do they all have the same shade of green leather sweatband which is usually associated with the EA? In addition, both these two have suffered from excessive rusting and having seen Mati's and another collectors they are in the same condition. They must have been immersed in sea water prior to retrieval or the helmets were in a poor condition when issued for service in the Falklands.
