Battle damaged Argentinian helmetAn absolutely fantastic battle damaged helmet, reputedly brought back by a member of 2 Para.....a souvenir of the Battle of Goose Green.
What I would assume to be a 7.62mm round has entered the helmet in the upper front portion passing through the suspension and exiting very dramatically at the rear of the helmet.
The Rosary Beads were with the helmet when it was purchased from a friend of the Paratrooper who originally brought the helmet back. This was the only souvenir he was able to retain as the rest, mainly weapons were thrown over the side of the ships prior to returning to home port.
This is my first attempt at posting on this forum, I hope the translation makes sense!
