Yo pienso que ese modelo de DMS altas no se usó en el conflicto y tampoco en otro momento, al menos de manera oficial.
Este extraño invento no tiene mucho sentido ya que, antes de los 80, ya existía una bota alta muy confortable llamada high-leg o combat, muy utilizada en Irlanda del Norte, y cuando terminó el conflicto, adoptaron nuevos modelos de botas altas, incluso con gore-tex. Lo que está claro, es que las longevas DMS serían suprimidas por el mal resultado que dieron a los soldados. Lo que nunca entendí es por que no se usaron estas botas reglamentariamente en las islas, ya que hubieran evitado muchas salvedades. Tenían que apañarse con las botas alemanas de paracaidista, las argentinas, las civiles de montañismo y las sobrebotas NBC. Volviendo a las DMS altas, creo que son una especie de experimento o prototipo que no llegó a nada. Investigando en la red, vi que en "tradeIndia.com" las venden. Otro caso extraño fue cuando en Ebay.UK, encontré unas DMS con las suelas verdes! no sé pero por la experiencia que tuve en varios años, es poco probable que los británicos hagan esas cosas con sus icónicas DMS.
