There is no telling what I'm writing, could be something obscene for all I know!! For example what does "madre mía como vende el morbo" mean? It translates as "my mother sold the illness"............doesn't quite sound quite right to me :lol:

El traductor de Google es muy peligroso! Ja!Ja! yo solo lo uso para chequear mis propias traducciones.
"Madre mia como vende el morbo" significa algo asi como: "Dios mio, el orbo es un muy buen negocio!"
(MORBO: se caracteriza por apelar a una anormal e insano interes en objetos perturbadores y desagradables, como la muerte o las enfermedades)

Ah...............I see, makes more sense now!!

I'm not sure about the morbid thing. For me it is visually a very powerful thing and brings home the ferocity, brutality and violence of warfare. It is truly shocking as well as interesting but still leaves you in no doubt that being a soldier serving on the front line is nothing more than terrifying.

Thanks for the translation, would it be better to write in English or give you all a laugh with the Oggole translate!

gracias HHD, no me di cuenta de escribir doble en inglés también (no pensé que fuera necesario tampoco, era un simple comentario al pasar)

hi Tug, excuse me for not writing that comment in english as well. I agree with you but maybe I just think that all helmets are very powerful when they come from a battlefield, I don't need to see blood stains or bullet holes to imagine how terrifying it was of its owner.

Yes Danish, writing in both languages is a practice incorporated when british collector joined the forum. This practice save misunderstandings when we used the translator.
The premise is: "If you could write in bilingual way, do it, but if you can't, it is OK". It is better avoid the translator.

Yes I understand what you're saying, all battlefield relics have their own unique draw. I guess we all have our own ideas and opinions which is all part of the beauty of these forums.

Hoy leyendo el libro de Oscar Teves me acordé de este casco, vuelvo al post acá y veo que es de Goose Green. En el libro se hace mención a una situación que perfectamente podría incluir este casco.
Lamentablemente no recuerdo la pagina pero si la encuentro lo publicaré acá.

Hi Tug, I was reading Oscar Teves' book today about the Battle of Goose Green and there is a situation that perfectly could fit into the story of this helmet during the battle, unfortunately I don't remember in which page it was but if I see it again I will write it down here.
